OXIDIZED BITUMEN 110/30 FEATURES

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is an air blown bitumen produced through the controlled oxidation of selected petroleum bitumen. Engineered for demanding industrial applications, this grade offers an excellent combination of high thermal stability, moderate flexibility, superior waterproofing, and long-term durability. With a softening point of approximately 110°C and a penetration value of approximately 30 dmm, it is widely used in roofing systems, waterproofing membranes, protective coatings, and industrial insulation.

One of the main characteristics of Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is its excellent resistance to elevated temperatures while maintaining sufficient flexibility to withstand normal structural movement. It forms a durable, impermeable barrier against water and moisture, making it an ideal material for long term waterproofing applications.

The product provides outstanding adhesion to concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and other construction materials, ensuring secure bonding and reliable performance. It also exhibits excellent resistance to oxidation, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, weathering, and environmental aging, helping extend the service life of finished products.

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 offers good chemical resistance against dilute acids, alkalis, salts, and industrial contaminants. Its consistent quality and hot-application properties make it suitable for manufacturing industrial mastics, adhesives, expansion joint compounds, anti-corrosion coatings, and insulation materials.

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 Applications

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is a high performance industrial bitumen developed for applications requiring excellent heat resistance, reliable waterproofing, strong adhesion, and long-term durability. Its balanced softening point and penetration make it suitable for projects where both thermal stability and moderate flexibility are essential.

In the construction industry, Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is widely used for manufacturing waterproofing membranes, damp-proof courses, roofing felts, foundation waterproofing systems, and underground moisture barriers. It forms a durable waterproof layer that protects concrete and steel structures from water penetration and environmental damage.

The product is extensively used in the roofing sector for built up roofing systems, roof repair compounds, flashing materials, and bituminous insulation products. Its excellent resistance to high temperatures helps maintain long term performance under severe weather conditions.

For industrial applications, Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is used in the production of industrial mastics, sealants, expansion joint fillers, protective coatings, and bituminous adhesives. Its strong bonding properties provide excellent adhesion to concrete, metal, wood, and masonry surfaces.

In pipeline protection, it serves as an effective anti corrosion coating for underground oil, gas, and water pipelines, protecting metal surfaces against moisture, chemicals, and aggressive soil conditions. It is also used in electrical and insulation industries for cable filling compounds, sound insulation, vibration-damping materials, and protective insulation systems.

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is an ideal material for manufacturers and contractors seeking high thermal stability, excellent waterproofing, reliable adhesion, and extended service life in industrial, construction, and infrastructure projects. Its dependable performance makes it a preferred choice for demanding applications worldwide.

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 Formulation

Oxidized Bitumen 110/30 is produced through the controlled oxidation of high quality petroleum bitumen. During manufacturing, heated air is continuously injected into the molten bitumen under carefully controlled conditions. This process modifies the molecular structure of the bitumen, increasing its softening point while maintaining a moderate penetration value. The result is a durable material with excellent thermal stability, waterproofing performance, and long term resistance to environmental aging.

Production Raw Materials

Material Function
Premium petroleum bitumen Primary raw material
Air (oxygen) Oxidizing agent
Process oil (if required) Fine adjustment of physical properties

Manufacturing Process

The selected base bitumen is heated in an oxidation reactor to the required processing temperature. Controlled airflow is introduced into the molten bitumen, initiating oxidation reactions that increase the asphaltene content while reducing lighter hydrocarbon fractions. Throughout production, temperature, airflow, pressure, and reaction time are continuously monitored to achieve the desired product characteristics.

Bitumen 110/30 Properties
